I have two odyseeys, ones a brand new one that i got as a warrenty replacement. The first one i bought failed within 6 months!!! Odessyes customer service SUCKS!!! they say they will help ya, but they really dont and they change their stories. I had to ship my battery to sacramento and some guy there hooked me up and sent me a replacement for the cost of shipping!!

Same here. Odyssey's [non-existent] customer service sucks bad.

I run a Jetworks and a warranty replacement Odyssey. Not warranty replaced by Odyssey, by the way.

Deka has been the best brand I have used...

The model number you should go for is ETX-16L.

They are smaller than the standard battery, but come with a spacer so it sits them higher in the battery box so everything sits nice and tight.

I've never had a problem with 3 seasons on mine, and it even started the old hard starting Advent (although it ain't good for the starter/bendix/solenoid)

If you order the above part number, it located the terminals under the exhaust tube, so your battery cables are invisible, and it makes for a nice clean engine bay.

It wouldnt surprise me if there were only 3 factories for gell cell and AGM, and all the brands being listed were the same in some respects. I know the same is true for Lithium Polymer batteries, there are 40 different brands, but the cells that make up the packs are all from 3 different factories, so brands that people 'like' are all marketing based likings and luck. If someone were to cycle test these batteries and stress test them, that would be the true test. However, it seems that if and when you ever spend over 60 bucks on a gel cell, you get a good battery that lasts a lot lot lot longer then the walmart conventional $40 batteries.

I'm going on my 4th year on what ever battery comes stock in the SXR. I just purchased a Jetworks battery. I really like it, but don't like the way the battery cables screw in side ways. It requires a 10 mm wrench and a philips screw driver. Which sucks to have to use two tools instead of just one to take your battery cables off.

just ordered a jetworks xc35. will be nice to not worry about my battery anymore... one less thing to go wrong.

MY thought exactly...and my actions too

bronson uses a 9v duracell.

NO! thats too much weight. He uses the gas to his carbs to spin a turbine to create eletricity, he starts it with a nitro RC rotostart
