to explain the leverage deal........... ill use and example...... u and a buddy do the same thing for a living...... your both approached to do a job for free...... that doesnt help either one of u........ but the kicker is u have worked indirectly for this requester b4.......... your buddy has not...... so technically it is your customer.......... the customer is just trying to get a freebie by leveraging u against one another with a promise of more work if u do this freebie....... your buddy decides behind your back to take on the freebie ........ in an attempt to gain future work........ ********ing you out of a customer and a sale (if they had stood tall together it would have forced the customer to pay you what was due to you for the work)........ and all the while this buddy thinks its ok........





and i happen to like the way i post.......... i post teh way i talk....... when i need a pause or a breath i post a "............"........... if u dont like it...... quote me........ coreect it......... re-read it......... then go marshmallow yourself

So you and a buddy go to do work and he does it for free so in the future you get the work, because you threw out a freebee.... and your buddy gets beat.. or vs versa... Or the company gets there freebee and does not come back to either... :crazy:

I have heard that before... but that is business and friends dont do stuff like that.. jsut like friends dont beat you and other friends too... I dont care how close you are.. I actually work in the same industry as my best friend..... work is work, friends are friends... maybe your friend had more bills than you, maybe your friend needed the work. If I have a customer that brings in his quote to my company, I always match the price or do it for a dollar more. Cusstomers are a dime a dozen if you do good work.
My friend pays 800 dollars a month in child support, to his evil, crazy ,biotch ex-wife that makes 150k a year, He cant afford a ski. I always tell my friends "if you borrow mine more than 3 times, you need your own!"
I am loning him the money for a used ski if he can find a good deal on one.

I have alot of acquaintances(sp?), and only a few true friends.

I'd like to think my frinds and I are on the same page. Loyalty is high on my friend priority list. Like most relationships, communication is a good thing. If my friend wanted the business, all he/she needs to do is talk to me.
If they need the business that bad i will let them have it if they ask, but don't go behind my back. I'd like to think that my friends would know to talk to me.
