Super Jet What size carb vs number of carbs...

question... I currently have a superjet with a 701 61x case with dual 44 carbs. I have herd debates on 1 larger carb vs's two smaller carbs. In my case ive been told I have two carbs that are too large for the motor. As in all Im doing is burning more fuel without any additional performance. I bought the ski this way and before I jump to conclutions wanted some input from more experienced people. I have a blaster one with dual 38's, port matched and a factory mod pipe and it rips. My superjet seems to lag on the bottom end. It has a factory pipe only... Im considering putting a 760 cylinder on the superjet to get a little more power and was wondering if the dual 44's would work out ok and give me what I was looking for rather than buying a new intake and and messing with the carbs... thoughts ...

Do you think if I swapped the 38s and intake off my blaster for the 44s off my superjet it would work out? Also can I utilize one of the 44s I have and just buy a new intake?

Is your blaster an X cased or T cased?

X Cases can only flow so much. Singles work really well, but so can dual 44's if everything is setup correctly.

X case. I hate to piss with it because I'm really stoked with how hard it hits on the bottom. I just hate to spend a ton more on the superjet it was a turd when I got it and I'm in the middle of redoing it. More so on the cosmetic side.... repaint dual cool dual bilge and foot holds along with turf. To buy new carbs would be costly....

Get a stock intake and put one of your 44's on it. It will increase the bottom end. You will need to rejet though. Check out Factory Pipes instructions for the bpipe for jetting specs.

OK sweet. I can use one of the two I have though right...? I mean all I need is the one with the throttle cable hook up? I ride mostly flat water but like to goof off so altimatley I'm looking for a snappy bottom end ski...

I see what you're saying I guess I'm just lookin at if its too much and bogging my superjet down than I'd rather change it. I'd rather have the bottom end than top. I thought maybe a 760 would give me more power and therefore allow me to utilize the full potential of the 44's. I love the way my blaster runs and it realisticly doesn't have much done motor wise. If I could get that result id be happy. Weather its a single 44 or a 760 jug...
