I've used RedLine fully synthetic for the past four years. I've recently heard from a lot of people that while Redline is great for the top end (cylinder), it is not so good for the crank for some strange reason. That is consistent with what I found in breaking down my two motors this past year. I'm thinking of switching to Amsoil, per a lot of people's recommendations. I've experimented with the Klotz bean oil thing, but if you ride for more than an hour at a time and have front exhaust the smell can get a little annoying (imo).

maxima 927 is the BEST smelling stuff around...its pricey though...

I typically run the penz 100% syntheic from wally....25 bucks for 2.5 gallons....

Was using Maxima 927 in my skis and quad mainly because I love the smell, but it kept clogging the spark arrestor on my quad because its such a sticky, gummy oil so I switched to maxima Super M $16 or $18 a half gallon at the moto shop.

amsoil dominator. if you purchase a membership to amsoil for like $20, you get big discounts on their products. i forget what the exact cost was for a case, but it was a lot cheaper than the other synthetics i use to use (Klots R50, Maxima Super M).

Yamalube i won't touch since i saw what it would do to my PVs in my GPR i had.
