Surfriding What mods for surf??

Location

I ride a 2000 RN with pipe, head, wraparound holds and a solas mag. I was going to get a AM hull but now ive had to put the cash into something else.
So, I was thinking of spending a little cash on my jet to make her handle a little better in the surf as my AM hull is now off. I was thinking of Blowsion tubbies and a different ride plate (D cut?).

Either that or i save the cash and wait for a AM hull probably later this year which willl be either a Krash or Rickter.

This is one of the most common questions asked here's my answer.
Must haves.
Limiting rope
Bilge
A buddy
Helmet
Tow rope
Hood straps.

As for mods you need to ride and figure them out on your own everyone has a different opinion. I like tubbies a lot and all my skis will have them. Blowsion steering handle bars is up to you I.e straights, risers, fat bars, 2-4 degrees. Shorten the pole I think is a must. Tool kit cause no one wants to be stuck on the beach.

Is that ATP steering -2" or more? I'm sure it is...if so I don't know then....MSD enhancer? Some say they are useless I HIGHLY disagree.

For ride plates again you need to find out what you like. I used a WCF carbon extended stock plate and love it. I also loved the JD extended concave.

Sorry i was talking about mod rather than safety side of things, Our riding group are pretty strict with safety mods....all of us have helmets, ropes, hood straps, bilges etc.

I just wanted to know how the ski will react if i put tubbies on her.. ie will the nose need to be brought up by a different ride plate but i guess you are right about everyone likes it different.

I honestly love the way tubbies ride. With WCF plate when I let off the throttle at high speeds it does cause the nose to dig but if I lean back when I do that it's not a problem
