well yes, I THOUGHT I was buying a 46 too.

have keith head bore that carb to 53mm up top and convert it to annular discharge, that makes a GREAT single carb.

I bought a wetjet carb and intake last year, and when it arrived it was gold, and a 44.

probably the same stuff, only CERTAIN wetjet engines had that 46mm carb, Ill try and find the thread.

It is probably a wetjet carb but the advertisement was for a 46 wetjet. That is what I was shopping for on Ebay. If had been advertised as a 44 I would not have purchased it (or had Matt pick it up for me). The guy probably just shipped the wrong carb, hopefully he has another 46 that he can send this way.

How would I know? :loser:

All I know is that a 46 probably shouldn't have the same throttle plate as a 44.

I have a 46 off of a Tigershark on my X2 the bolt hole spacing is wider and had to be dremeled out to work on the 44 manifold.I have a couple of those 46mm carb bodies laying around here. The # on the plate is#120 so it does use the same throttle plate as the 44.The caliper reads 46.5mm across the bore,It appears the very bottom of the carb has been enlarged 2mm in an area about 8mm from the bottom of the carb .There you go myth busted.

Yup, you have a carb from a Duo 300, the Kraze has the nice manifold by Westcoast w/ the 46 that has wide bolt spacing.

The Duo 300 came with a regular 61x intake and 44 SBN carb but just different colors, I've seen both silver and gold.

I bought 2 Duo 300's and thought they had the nice intakes, but no!

Good luck resolving the issue - I do have a WJ 46 with the wide spacing, if you want it. I got it from Team Scream but never used it - it's clean though. PM me.

Thank you sir, good to know.
However, the bottom opening is still only 44mm, and std. bolt spacing.

Thanks for the offer.
I'll try to resolve the issue with the ebay seller first.

I bought one of those early last year from the same seller. He sent me a 46 and the spacing was wider to match the intake. I sold it with the wetjet intake that I already had. Posted pics here.

He prob just sent you the wrong carb. He sells 38 and 44s too.

edit: the opening at the top is the same as 44, and the throttle plates are too. I thought I had a 44 when I first got it. The bottom is bigger on the 46.

Is that true for all 46s or just the wetjets?

Matt, the seller goofed I think.
I bought one from him last year and I had to open up the stud spacing to use it on a 61x intake. I did not measure top or bottom openings though.

The throttle plates ARE different between the 44mm and 46mm (size), however they do share the same blade pitch @ #120.
The #120 throttle plates IS NOT used on the OEM 44mm Yamaha carbs that comes on the 760's, they come with a #160 and different fuel delivery circuit. This was done for emissions and fuel economy and IMO... OEM carbs are junk for a freestyle application! WE WANT PUNCH AND HP RIGHT NOW, so oem carbs will not supply the fuel curve needed for that to work very well.
