I've got one made by Jet Ski Solutions that he advertizes it as being "military grade".

I like the switch but I don't advise using the handle bar mount if you freestyle for mine sometimes catches my shorts when I bulldog it around.:banghead:

all sounds good. i think i might go with the rotary after all unless i find something thats weather proof.

if i re foamed my ski i would get a pushbutton switch and put it in the front corner of the tray. so i could push on it with my foot when riding. but then it would prob be a pita when you weren't standing.

I used a cheap automotive switch all season last year (fresh water only) and it worked fine.
I now have the JSS switch. Seems to be decent quality.

it's made by honeywell. good stuff. I can't ever remember if up or down is off so I bought the 3way switch. now up and down is on and the middle is off.

Same here. Except when I ordered, he only had the threeway, so he gave that to me. Works well, so far.

Several years ago I bought the Honeywell aka Microswitch type military grade toggle switch. It is completly sealed and I have it mounted next to the hood latch. I paid around $25 at the time and it has worked ever since. The one JSS sells is the same brand / type switch but they shorten the bat to make it less likely to be broken off by the wayward foot, or other body part. Works for me!

Keefer- Is this what it looks like? The toggle portion has a red silicone boot.

I'm running the shortened JSS switch too. I was running the rotary style switch, but like Rickster, I kicked mine off.

The rotary one is a nice switch, and you'll like it, but the problem is that when they break, they shaft usually breaks down on the switch itself, meaning it's hard to salvage.

You'll be happy with either one of the two.

One ski has that one, it's worked so far (only 2 months I've had my skis) and my other ski has a cheap flip switch from autozone. I broke it kicking it.
