What kind of grease to use in jetpump

I like to use a light grease, I use white lithium. I like to take advantage of the HP I build with the motor.

thats what I use as well.....nice :cool2:

Chuck....Ive had a couple of pumps thru the years where one has regualar marine grease, and others had some sort of liquid grease (silicone, atf, royal purple???)....

whats the story on that?

All I ever figured out was...When opening a new pump for the first time, dont do it over your nice clean workbench :banghead:

most of mine are a combo of solid grease and the oil that used to be mixed in it. like when peanut butter sits for along time the oil seperates from the solids. only a fraction of the grease is actually in the bearings, the rest is just for show. and maybe to help waterproof the bearing. I guess thats why an oil would lube better but you alos run the risk of it leaking out. thats why ya got to maintain!
