What is the first sings of wear of a Coil pack

other than obvious faults like loose connectors and wires there is no real telltale.either they work or they don't.some stop working when hot but that doesn't really visibly show up either.
 
If he means the ignition coil to the plugs then from my recent experience they will let the ski idle but when you try to rev it up it sounds like it is always hitting the limiter,same as the way the heat sensor would respond. My coil while working its way to failure would sometimes run great then others sound like the carbs were the issue until it dropped to running so sporadically that it sounded like a single cylinder lawn mower lol. Another one I replaced on a Blaster wouldn't let the ski get past idle. It idled very well, once the real work was required however the coil didn't have enough integrity to power the RPMs up. A simple multimeter test proved it. Too much resistance in the secondary winding. A new JetManiac coil and back to ride time :D

I'm having issues with my 62t motor. Ski rips for 15 mins or so then gets a slight splutter at the top end that gets worse the more you ride.

Leave it 20 and it's fine again for a bit.

Stator lighting coil resistance and pulse coil is fine.

Got a new OEM coil on its way. Fingers crossed
 
thank you,I went in the water Saturday,it was the coil,for me the ski was starting normally,but when I went in the water ,I thought the piston was going to explode true the hood of the ski ,Weird noise too or running on one cylinder but running on one cylinder did not make the same noise, It was like going over a rock
