"you are a joke. you seriously expect anyone to believe that my plan was to ask for a refund, trash the hood, ship it back and upon your receiving of a trashed hood refund my money. Absolutely ridiculous. If there is any damage to that hood then it was caused by USPS. you are more than welcome to file a claim with them. Remember, filing a claim for damage that did not occur is a felony"

and escalated the case so Ebay customer support will make a decision

you must not have went about the dispute process correctly. file a claim and paypal freezes the money you sent. ebay/paypal awards you the win and says send it back with tracking. once the tracking shows its delivered, ebay refunds your money. the option of the seller refunding your money, doesnt happen. since he sold the hood for good money, he probably broke it in half when he got it back and said it was damaged. i buy a lot of junk on ebay and have to get refunded often.
