Hah sweet. But over my history of craigslisting I've experienced tons of losses and big come ups.. A 300$ loss isn't horrible but still.. 300$ could've gone to something else that wouldn't have ended up being crap

So I got the hood and nose piece. Opening up the box I first noticed the surface of the hood has small pinholes (not a big deal). Under the hood was the nose piece wrapped in bubble wrap, it looked good but again the small pinholes. The tabs where the nose piece bolts onto the hull are curled in and doesn't sit flush with the hull. Not really a big deal to me it will suck in when I tighten. The hood and nose piece didn't have any holes drilled in but again I don't care. Didn't expect much for a $300 hood. Placing the hood on my ski the inner part sits good and flush on the seal. Overall I am not ecstatic but I don't feel ripped off. If someone has a budget like I do and buys one of these I hope it works out as good as mine did. Pictures coming soon!!

I guess it doesnt look too bad after all...so im sorry that I infected you with my pessimism. I would thoroughly check the quality of the bond between the liner and the hood and reinforce so you dont have issues down the road.

Well I'm picking up an 07 today so i may just put my 96 back together and sell it stock. Paint the lowered hood and nose piece black and have a graphics company replicate the stock 07 ones

DON'T BUY. I bought one a couple weeks ago and here is my review.

This hood and nose is a piece of crap. The craftsmanship looks like a retarded high school kid built it for a school project. I could accept a hood that is a little rough around the edges because it is cheap. Well...the hood is shaped incorrectly and the hood doesn't fit...won't come close to sealing. Now I'm fighting to get my money back because the seller thinks he can hide behind a no returns policy.

I asked the seller who the maker is of the hood. His response was that he is a jet ski salvage and the hood doesn't have any markings...he just gets parts in and sells them. How do you not know who made the hood or where it came from if you have sold a dozen of them? BS

I wish I had just sent my money to Tom21.

not to kick a dead horse, but if for some reason anyone is on the fence about this guy and considering buying one of his hoods.

He agreed to accept the hood back. So I shipped it back and emailed him to let him know. Then the excuses fly about why he won't refund...I've been riding with it, used it for a mold, etc....Here is his final response to me through Ebay

"The hood arrived today, and I opened the box to find it is broken in HALF and all cracked and used and thrashed! This is just what I suspected! I took cell phone pics immediately and uploaded them to ebay to show its condition. It is in TWO pieces (instead of one). The seller sent me back garbage!"

what a great guy

I responded with

"you are a joke. you seriously expect anyone to believe that my plan was to ask for a refund, trash the hood, ship it back and upon your receiving of a trashed hood refund my money. Absolutely ridiculous. If there is any damage to that hood then it was caused by USPS. you are more than welcome to file a claim with them. Remember, filing a claim for damage that did not occur is a felony"

and escalated the case so Ebay customer support will make a decision
