Custom/Hybrid What coupler do you use for Xmetal stinger mod to the waterbox?

The 45deg coupler that FP sells does not even come close to fitting over the xmetal stinger mod. I would call XM and ask them, but there closed for world finals. Anyone know what coupler to order and where from?

Just use any piece of hose thats the right diameter. I have been cutting up couch hoses just for this purpose. Been handing them out when people need them. Got a small stash for myself as well.

They make the stinger section of your chamber larger and it changes resonance in the pipe or something. I opted out of it on my 865 build. Might do it down the road if I feel the need.

Hey Shawn,
Just checked it , it's 2 3/8" OD. so a 2.5 to 2.5" 45 degree elbow would work either OEM or silicone (siliconestop.com)

AWESOME THANKS MAN! I've had some hodge podged seadoo hose that is folding over and definetly restricting flow alot. Wanted to get the right hose on there being I have to take the chamber off anyway.

I've been wondering what they did. I could see from the pics there were 2 stinger tubes, but I wasn't sure if they added one to the outside, or added one to the inside and reduced the stinger for whatever reason.

I believe they cut the whole stinger off and weld on there own piece that has an inner and outer tube. But I admit, never really took a close look at it before I installed it. Ski rips really really good so seems worth it.

I believe the concept is to get the water flowing to the outside of the hose instead of just squirting it into the center, helps keep the exhaust gases flowing better without obstruction.

Shawn, When you get the long exh hose from me, I have the other short oem 45deg hose for you also.

Thanks Chris, I'm sure I have a bunch more stuff I will need to get...lol

Werd, it definetly does that.

Flash-FX

No Square..No Round..FX-1
I used some 21/2" OD aluminum tubing, and turned down the OD to 21/4", the stock hose fits on a lot easier. The FX-1 has a little less room up front, so the "stinger" is welded on angling inwards a little more. Not to rub anywhere.
