Freestyle What bars to use for freestyle?

Im trying to figure out what bars i want to use.

I ride mostly flatwater and plan on venturing into the surf every once in a while (2 hr. drive to other coast)

Are staright bars the way to go or risers?

I plan on using the cold fusion setup.

Any advice will really help.

I run a set of Blowsion straight phat bars on my cold fusion plate. I like it but have ridden other skis with similiar setups but with riser bars and liked the risers more.

I am leaning towards risers but I'm wanting everyones opinion on what they use and how it rides.

what turn plate are you using? If stock UMI 0-degree bars.

I'm going to use the cold fusion turn plate.

Straight is better for flatwater. Most prefer risers in the surf, but it really depends on all of the parts being matched to your ride style and setup. That said, risers are more flexible because you can adjust them alot and with straight bars you can't adjust them at all.

I think risers are my best choice.

If you ride mx bikes go with the risers they feel similar to mx bars I had renthal fatbars on my bike, just changed my steering system and went with riser bars and prefer them over straight bars.

I grew up racing so it would probably suit me better.

Its all rider preference and depends on your pole length. Heights. Riding style and hull.
