The X2 runs fine now that its in fresh water,no probs at all.I am going to do some electrical rewiring on it though and go with some more bulletproof connectors.I will probably use the GM weatherpack connectors on everything,I have a ton of that stuff laying around.I am converting that Kawi switch over to plug into the top of the Seadoo elect box so I can seal it up ultra tight,no more water in the box.:nono:

Damn sand is on and in this thing everywhere,my jet pump and cables sounded like crap when I got back, now I see why you guys break so much stuff, that was just one damn trip to the saltwater.:brap:

when i was in fla i was getting zapped by my bilge switch all the time, that salt water really exposes any shorts or open wires. no more using cheap switches they are no good for salt dont last long

Actually I have a ac sensing switch that turns on electrical components when it senses ac voltage from the charging coils,it only works when the boat is running,I may wire in an on off switch also though in case I try to check my floatation again.

the only time i run my bilge at all is when the ski is not running, otherwise the scupper keeps it bone dry.

if i stop to rest or break down or tie the ski behnd the boat i flip on the bilge otherwise within 30mins she starts to sink:aargh4:

I run my bilge 100% of the time my ski is in the water. Even if it's on shore I leave the bilge on if it's partially in the water. I have stock ignition and my bilge goes 8+ hours on a fresh charge with lots of use of the starter and I never have problems with the battery. Only time I shut it off is if it's pulled up onto shore and the bearing housing forwards is out of the waves.

Many of us don't even run a switch. I only have one for things like Daytona when we used dolly's or the water receeded away from the ski.
