I think he meant "Not even close" as in the Superjet can be a lot more expensive.
Just go and buy a Lenzi backflip Sj.

right, but you could also have a great modded SJ for the cost of a new GPR. It all depends on how you want to look at it I guess.

it only makes commone sense to me that it would cost at least 1/3 more to modd a GPR to the same level... I can only compare a race sj vs a race GRP since there are no GPR freestyle skis (thank god)

I know back 3-4 years ago it would cost around 30k for a superstock GPR
prolly 40k now.. I think Jens boat would be around 30k and the its the most expensixe hull on the market by a long shot... prolly by 2-3 times...

I got a 91 SJ two weeks ago

Needs work though this winter. The right side of the tray is suctioned in from exhaust Im guessing, and the tray seal broke in the compartment, so when you jump on it on the trailer, you hear a koosh sound in the engine compartment. Also needs a 701 engine, intake grate, footholds, new turf, and I think thats it. Im just planning

Ivnspeed, don't sweat it.

Your first mods will be a prop and intake grate which cost the same (if you buy new) as it would for a GPR.
Than it's all down hill.

Don't forget that these guys are way above us on the skill level curve and what no longer works for then is great for us. Just look through the used parts section and you'll more than likely find what you need.

Just for the price of Fercho's VF3's (I do love them)you can get a 701 that rips, for the equivalent of a GroupK BB you'll have your ski plus enough mods to keep you smiling and hurting for quite some time.

BTW, nice Square you have there.

Congrats on the SJ - glad you finally found one! I'm a bit distracted with house moves at the moment, but we'll get together and ride soon. When I've scoped put my new local riding spot at Guntersville everyone needs to come to my place and we'll have a jet ski house warming and freeride.

Let me know when you get into mods too - I can help you hack into your ski with confidence at stick new parts to it :Banane01:

Welcome,if this is your first standup just ride and mod as you need it,you will know when,I dont think you wll sit again, nice ski i love my 90 sj.
