Welcome to X-H2O..........!

This site is For the Riders , By the Riders!

I wish I could have started the site off with an introduction. But I chose the next best thing, To introduce it personally to those in attendance in Daytona
this past weekend.

I want to give some of you a brief history on what transpired & the turning point of PWCtoday & the Birth of X-H2O. Several months ago Rob propositioned me about a possible purchase of the site. I was not alone in the proposition. There were several core companies / members who also had the same opportunity. Unfortunately we couldn't come to terms & SBT was the lucky purchaser. Rob & Bobbie didn't sell out to a corporate purchaser, they tried very hard to get one of the loyalists to buy. Sometimes things go the other way. I have a History of work in the corporate world & had my reservations about the sites future. I literally received dozens of emails from different members suggesting a new site. The Idea was born. I asked Darin Jett to partner in the project & here we are. Darin was with PWCtoday from the very beginning. He has a very strong backbone in web design / hosting & is more than capable to handle anything that can come up. I'm in the site as a rider & enthusiast, not a shop owner.
There is one other partner, who will be named in a few days. Along with a string of moderators.
We have also formed a very strong alliance with RiotRadio. While Riot is not for the squeamish, they are a standing force in the extreme sports arena.
Together, we will be hosting a world freeride tour. Much like this past weekends "Daytona MotoSurf". Only future rides could incorporate other sports besides PWC. The Idea of this site is to open up the world of freeride

Please continue to go to PWCtoday. While their Ideas are different, it’s the sport that matters.
WE are Riders for Riders.............. Go Big, or Go Home!!!

Ski ya, Paul

Thanks Paul and the other owners. Personally I give up on PWCToday.

Sorry, just no patience for all of the changes.

Change is not always good. Just look at the wizard below!

Thanks for the props Paul!
We (Riot) had a good relationship with Rob and Bobbi, and I know it will be 10 times better with X-H2O!

Riot is not a place riders can send young family members, and certain sponsors to see photos and hear them interviewed on our show. X-H20 will fill this void.
Evan and I have been riding stand-ups since 1988, and we are loving the revival of stand-ups!

Evan used to do an all MX show (dmxsradio.com) which is still doing well. He wanted to create a site/show that includes all the action sports we do and love. Jet-ski's are our first love of all the sports we participate in so PWC was a must for Riot. Jet-Skiing is ignored by most (if not all) of action sports media.
We shove it in their face! :eek:mfg:

Riot is funded entirely by Evan. No sponsors, just riders for riders like X-H20.
Someday there will be some companies with enough saq to pay for a banner on Riot, or an ad on our show, but we aint swettin it. We love helping promote freeride/freestyle in the arena in belongs--The action sports world.

Thank you Paul for not abandoning Riot, and helping us continue to shove ski's in the face of the action sport world! :hail:

Thanks guys. It was starting to get weird over at pwct. Don't know how or why but just different in a bad way. I am new to pwct just signed up in the fall so maybe thats how it gets in the winter I dont know. But it was definitely different. I see good things about to happen here best of luck to everyone involved.

Just what I was looking for, can you please sticky this or put this information in the about us section. It lets us know who supports this sport, not that the current member list does not already.

Paul, I remember reading about your possible purcahse on PWCT and when SBT purchased I wondered WTF??? This explains it, thank you for sharing this info and because it is not a medium used exclusivly for commercial purposes I do not feel this information is something you should hide. Besides, it is not like you are plastering Jr Magoos all over (I was wondering who owned this joint, not that a whois couldn't have answered). Though I have met you once and spoken to you on a few occations, anyone can tell you are honest and forthcoming. I know you are not going to use this site as a vehicle to push your services on anyone.

Thanks Paul for all you do for this sport. I look forward to seeing the X-h20 and Riot partnership.

:Banane09:What they said.

I typed up some long thing, but it didn't make sense after reading it, so instead, here's this: I love the sport, have been riding since 91 I think, went to the first rec.sport.jetski Jetfest in '99 at Lake Lanier of all places, then helped organize FreeStyleFest, and now these events are becoming almost as common as races it seems. Let's keep it going! The more positive things we can do in groups, the more we'll get noticed and bring more people into the sport to continue the resurgence in popularity.

Interesting site.

I'm kinda torn because I don't see what is here that couldn't be on pwctoday.com (wasn't a goal of that board to "grow the sport"?) Well it definitely grew the sport! And now that's a bad thing???

I do like a site dedicated to standups (I hope that's what this is, and will stay that way). I thought that's what made pwctoday.com better than the rest of the boards (sbt, Riva, Sea-doo.net, etc).

The purpose of this site is not to take anything or anybody away from PWCToday, It is just a site which is more dedicated to freeriding, that is all....... "For Riders, By Riders"

Freeriding as in standups only? I like that idea.

I still like pwctoday.com but I don't have enough time to be a drama queen on both boards, lol.

think of this site like a supplement or expanded freeride section

i think the sport of pwc's in general is too broad for one site

there are like 50 posts an hr at pwctoday nowadays, most of which dont intrest me.dont get me wrong, ill still go there just like i used to go to sbtontheweb
