Weight of FX-1 Hull

Thanks for the pics. If you get any of the nose and andlepole pivot area section, please post them also.

As for tubbies, they may, but you would be kind of going overboard to correct something that the ski wasn't designed for.

I think I saw a post where Paul (Jr. Magoo's) stated that everybody gets these overly powered skis and never learns a true riding style and really knows how to handle the ski. With your ski and setup, you will really be able to master a riding style.

I'd give it the season before becoming frustrated and trying to change handling characteristics.

You may be right, i went from a jet to an octane and now the FX.

FX is so light, i love it but wish it had the handling of the jet.

I did see that Waterdawg has some FX-1 stuff, including a bracket.

WD'll make anything a customer wants, but you'll have to wait and wait and wait for it. I actually already paid him for a bracket and pole for my F1-Pro, but I like that QJS setup better... it puts the pole lower (plus it looks really custom and clean).

Would tubbie`s make a differance...?

Tubbies make EVERYTHING better:biggrin: . I had them on my 550/650 conversion boat. The FX-1 is very similar in size and shape to the 550. They made it much more fun to ride. I used the Tubbie 2's. I think you would really like them.

Hey Cramit, I think those Tubbies are on backwards. I dunno how the tubbieII's mount though.

Tubbies do help on the FX1. I don't ride flat water so I'm not sure of high speed handeling but they do make it a little more stable. I'll post pics tomorrow of them. If your looking for better hook up and recovery on an FX, I just got a stortened turn plate. This in addition to a shortened pole and Blowsion lowered bracket really changed where my weight is.

Here ya go. They mount pretty much exactly as Tubby 1's. Maybe you can see better in this pic how they mount. This is a pic from Blowsion's website.

Lurker

Ready to ride
I have a FX1 with tubbies and love it. The funny thing is I never rode it stock. It was in need of a extreem make over when I got it and wanted to try out some tubbies while I was messing with it. Anyway this little ski smashes and bashes through chop a lot better than I thought it would and I am sure it is a little more stable than stock. Now its getting footholds.:woot:

Idok I hope you are going to put your build in the Ski Buildups forum. I would realy be intrested because I plan to redo mine after my superjet build is done.

waiting right now on a blowsion 1 way valve.....

not bad considering I rode both sunday AND monday too!!!!

Thanks for the comments guy`s. I bought it as you see it now, All the hard work was done by Chris @ ATP. A lot of man hours went into it.

Here is a picture build of it taken by the man himself.

http://www.queenford.8m.com/fx1_project_pics.htm

Spec wise it`s a 785cc ported engine with all the toy`s, Before i quote more i`d like to get the true specs from the guy that built it.

Chris is maybe the guy to talk to about the pump shoe you guy`s need for your 144 pump mods.
