You should save that and hang it in the garage and just point when people say "you dont need a helmit, it's just water."

People who say it's just water, must have never taken a hard hit. I am come up seeing stars a couple or times hitting the water.

Did the same to mine this weekend.....also on a re-entry!
In my case the helmet won (well, a little cracked) and the fiberglass pole pad lost!

I know without my helmet I'd be drinking my meals through a straw!!

I agree. I was not a big fan of helmets, especially in the surf. It was tough getting used to, but last Friday I learned why you have to wear them. Failed BR, ski landed on me and pinned me head between the pole pad and the shale bottom!

I've done exactly the same thing at the beach and my mx helmet put a nice gouge in my chin pad turf. It would have broken my jaw for sure.

I feel like a dork wearing mine on the flat water I ride, but the paint scrapes on my helmet convince me to suck it up and wear it anyway. I'm the only one who EVER wears one at my lake. At least the visor keeps my face shaded so I don't need sunscreen.
