we lost that part, o whatever......

so my new impeller and pump housing & parts from SBT came in today, and we got all our new electronics, so my bro and i got crackin at fixin up our waveraider760. pulled the ignition cover off and popped of the flywheel and discovered the last person whp installed the flywheel, LOST THE SHEAR PIN and just forgot about it, hey they had a new one....
this extra pin, ping pong'd around the inside which destroyed my electronics and also wedging itself beneth the flywheel and case, causing to cracks in the bottom half of the case. WTF!!!!!

we were thinking jb weld/epoxy....or getting it welded....opinions

I would say that if all the holes line up and you can get it to be watertight just do what you gotta do. It's just a housing at that point to keep the electrics dry, not really structural.

Keep an eye out for a cheap set of cases and swap over when you do your next rebuild.

Heck yea just JB weld that thing and let it go. I wouldn't worry about it enough to search for new cases. Those will be fine just unsightly when viewed from the bottom.
 
The same thing happened to me, only it was on my truck. MFers goobered some kind of adhesive all over the bolt and harmonic balancer, bolt broke off in the crank and scored the crap out of the snout. I love buying new stuff more and more.

If you are ok with using 'mismatched' cases, you can just about get a 650 cases for the cost of shipping and just replace the bottom half. I've been running mismatched cases for over a year.
