I'm thinking of having a buddy pick me a set of holds up in daytona, but I'd like to see a decent pic of them first. Can anyone help me out? Are they for large or smaller feet?

I have a size 11 and they fit perfect for me.

im a size 13 shoe and theyre perfect. if you have smaller feet, just build the inside up with hydroturf padding to compensate. they are very comfortable holds and relatively easy to install.

Overall, they are a great foothold. There are probably others out there that I like better, but the WCF are much easier to install and rank up there pretty high in my book.

They are good. Pad them accordingly to fit your feet. If you want, mod them for more enclosure.

I agree, stuff them as far forward as you can if you ever plan to hang your junk upside down.

Wow, you guys have SUPER clean turf jobs on yours skis around the footholds. I just picked up a set of these footholds too that I'm about to install.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I'm just wondering if "jura" and "Ericfox can try and snap a picture of the inside of the holds to show where the seams are (if there are any). I've never turfed a ski with footholds before and I'm just a little curious how you guys made your seams since I bought the same ones.

Also just wondering where everyone else's holds are positioned in comparison to the 14" from the front that was mentioned here. I realise a lot will depend on rider height and pole length, but I'm just curious for my Square SJ.

Keep the pics coming everyone. I'm still not sure what direction my diamonds on the turf are going to run. I like seeing the different options.

Thanks guys!

Pad the foothold with hydroturf underpadding on the interior part of thehold prior to installing. Saves you from dripping contact cement everywhere, and you won't have to work with your head on an angle and your hands at awkward angles.

After that install the hold, turf with 1 piece seemless from dash to topdeck lip.

1 piece of turf, heatgun, rubber mallet and a helper makes the job a snap. Turfing takes less than an hour including cutting templates if you know what your doing. Use templates, cardboard is your friend! Less turf wasted, cut them an inch or 2 oversized to prevent from wasting an entire piece if you want the sano look.

I made a cut where you will push it into the inside of the foothold.... when you push it into the hold, the straight cut you make will end up being a triangle shape after the turf is installed.... then study a piece of turf and kind look at the triangle shape you need to make to try and find an area of turf to cut that will at least match up pretty well with one side of the traingle so it will look better than if neither side matched.... use a little superglue on the edges of the little triangle piece along with the contact cement that is already down in that area and install the little triangle piece and you're done.

Use a new razor blade like every 12" of cutting... your cuts will look good then

First of all your from Toronto! never seen you before

Footholds like WCF are installed by the majority of people (whether they know it or not at the time) like EricFox did above.

The positioning of them is a preference. People who are taller or have a longer reach than the average dude are fine with putting the holds at the back of the hull where they fit perfectly.
Shorter riders may prefer to stuff them further up, so they can throw their weight that much more forward. If they are going more than a few inches (don't know exact) forward the exhaust tube will prevent a flush install, you can trim it the hold to get a few more inches.

Everyone is different and a lot of people don't know where they want them.

Edit: Also the turf diamonds run horizontal on the bottom and sides works best. The bottom turned the other way would have no benefit in traction.

Use a heat gun, make the turf soft the handle. Turf cuts pretty easily.

I'm 5'6" with size 8 shoes. These holds sound like they will work pretty well for me. I will be putting them up pretty far.

No seams over here.
I would say: less cutting, less work.
Use a heat gun and some good quality contact cement.
Enjoy the job.

The turf job looks awesome "jura". I guess I'll aim for a cut free job by using a heat gun and if I have to I'll try making the one 'relief' cut like Eric said.

Thanks so much guys, I just don't know what to expect with my first foothold job.

Great pics jura

Nice turf work, perhaps I can get mine to roll in without cuts.
