honestly I dont think it matters... I was temped to try to get it in without ANY cuts but after trying it once and having to rip the turf off the whole side and sand again- I made the cut and it went in a lot easier....
You would have to lay your head on the tray and look over with a flashlight and look to see where I pieced it together...
I think I might be able to do it now that I have a little more experience... but dont know why I would really care about it.... as long as the visible stuff looks nice. The cut down the sides you have have to be very careful doing.... pound it down with your mallet and slowly go along the side with new razor blades every 12" or so... no kidding... just kinda make a couple little cuts and press the turf down and keep moving towards the front or back away from whereever you started cutting.
