WB1 footholds

I have tried to search to see if anyone posted a "how to" in order to install DaKine (or other brands) of footholds on their WB1, but didn't get any hits. Has anyone done this, and if so can you advise how to anchor the straps to the footwells. I am a little nervous about simply bolting them on; I am not sure if that would be strong enough. I know the best spot to place them are in the rear part of the footwells where they start to rise to the rear tray. If anyone can offer any advice or some pics, I would appreciate it....or even a link to a DIY somehwere.

I used a coarse threaded screws on the oustide of the straps because you can't get under there to put on bolts (because of foam). For the inside bolts I took out the batery tray/box and put some large fender washers with bolts so theay are really secure.

Don't forget stainless steel.

Jetskier79 recently moved his to the base of the "rise" in the tray, not on the flat part. I'm sure he will chime in.

Quick responses; thanks guys. Demon, that's a good thread; I think I am going with the bracket method. It sounds strong and is probably the right way to do it. Thanks!
