This is a hull i just picked up
its been reinforced in the hull as well as other things
I have an 8mm lamey stroker to go in it
48 novis and b-pipe etc etc

first i will refoam it and clean it up and paint it white
My wife is a graphic designer so she will design the graphics for it and well let see where it goes from there

She can draw these pics like this very well so we will see
it should be something like this as she is great on the airbrush

Is a 8mm stroker a bit much for the surf? Sounds more like a good flatwater platform.

Yup 8mm is way to much for the surf
i want overkill on top of over kill

I would like to learn how to flat water roll as well

Do you think it will have the grunt or should i go for a more radical setup

Silly Wax.......8mm's are for kids! :haha: For the surf I would do a single carb ported motor, 701 or 760. Stock electronic w/ inferno system :cheer: Have the bare minimum to make it run and reinforce throughout especially under the handle pole mount. D-cut plate cut almost flush with the hull, you don't want the ski to take a nose dive down a wave......tubbies would be sweet as well to prevent that and give your nose a better foot print. Also on that note I think it would be cool to move the battery recessed in bulkhead so it is more centered........I would try and keep the weight off the nose as much as possible and just keep the ski simple and well balanced.

Flatwater boat go nuts..........lower the center of gravity as much as your back can take and produce stupid power. Flatwater backflips :woot:

That boat sounds like it is going to be nuts!! The higher you go the more prone you will be to breaking stuff...........that includes body parts :haha: I am leaning towards predictablity and smooth power on surf and flatwater boats. The more predictable the power and the more precise the steering and trim the more enjoyable the boat is to ride......IMO. Project sounds like a beast. Do you have a time line for the build?

I am hoping for nuts that will be almost enough
I guess i really like just having mega grunt even if i am not that good at freeride
well i can 180 and i have done about 4 rolls in my life
But the has been reinforced and i didnt want to damage my black one
I am going to be looking for a free ride hood and nose piece soon as well
