waveblaster nozzle boring ?

on a waveblaster-1 what can be expected from nozzle boring 2 mm , from reading i assume more holeshot -bottom end is it rally noticible ?, how much sacrifice on top end '' not that i really care '' ? ''what will it do to rpm - any change'' is it a worthwhile mod ? any input appreciated

Generally it provides better bottom with a slight drop in top end.

However, this all depends on your overall setup (motor & prop). If you are running a prop with an aggressive leading edge, you will not see as much gain like you would with a steeper prop.

I would start off with a smaller cone (similar results)...this way if you don't like it, just bolt back the original cone.

bigger water flow area

simplifed thinking is
water flow area = area of nozzle - area of cone

so shorter cone means more water can be pushed through it. similar effect as bigger nozzle.

Are you talking about a boring the nozzle with the stock Blaster impellor? with the bored nozzle the stock blaster prop is pretty weak...(bad hook up) Get a Solas 13/17 concord if your running a bored nozzle.

thats the 66e eng 120 hp the prop is a concord 14-18 cut back 3mm ,real nice mid to top end with real good hook up but 66e has no bottom brap ! more of a brrrap ! has a stock 144 gp800 nozzle , i have a spare nozz and might experiment with making it shorter after hearing these ideas . how much can i cut safely off ?

don't make the nozzle shorter. you either bore the nozzle or get a shortened cone like a wet wolf cone.

here is what a shortend cone looks like if you don't know:

i have a 13/15 cutback with bored nozzle and ww cone. i switched back to stock and lost some low end. ww cone is back on. it all depends on you enigne setup, prop, ski ect. I'd say experiment with them both.
