got a 5 pin weather pack for my stator for 9$ shipped. hard to find the 5 pin. dude said hed send me directions to use it w/ out the weatherpack tool. i did a best offer for 5$ and he countered me 6.50$ it shipped the 27th and tracking says i get it today.

They are cheap here, although they don't have the 5pin. They work out to about $3.00 a piece. They screw you on minimum order and shipping though.

yes but the guy i ordered from saud hed include directions on how to crimp em w/ normal crimpers

i just got the weatherpack in. there are detailed instructions to do it w/ normal crimps. they make so easy a caveman can do it

The oem start stop connectors corrode and need maintenance, I would like to change them out...are the weather packs completely waterproof ? but do you need the expensive crimp tool ?

btw... I like Jet World (10.00 primer plungers) and have ordered from them before...

The weather pack connectors are as waterproof as your going to get.

*I* did not need the expensive crimp tool... but YOU might (I have seen your work). :dance:
If you have a decent pair of regular crimpers you can do the job if you take your time.

I noticed they have an economy crimper for $30, but I do not make enough connections now to justify it.

Great thread, I was looking for weather pack connectors and tools locally and gave up. Just picked up what I needed off ebay as well.

aren't the weather packs used in automotive connections ?
