You likely work in the oil patch where they throw more money at you than you can possibly turn down. Work conditions suck, safety is relative and one needs projects like this to look forward to or you will go nuts fast!!! I worked over 900 hrs in 11 weeks and miled out a 2008 work truck in less than 6 months.

I do work in the oilpatch. When its busy I generally work 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day or more depending on location or company your working for. I am a contractor and I run my own welding rig. I generally do exotics such as stainless, inconnel, duplex or 400 series stainless high pressure piping systems.

I was doing electrical Instrumentation. We were working 16-19hrs a day 7 days a week from the point the frost set in til breakup. Killer money but it's a hard life. I lost my fiance and my partnership in a booming Chiropractic Clinic. Good news is it opened me up for an opportuniy to move to the US and find a sweet new life where I can ride year round.

I think I am going to take you guys up on your offers and come out to try some skis. My problem is I have too much balls for my skill level. I have no patience and generally try everything now. I am however scared
less of trying surf riding.....because I know I will be instantly hooked and will not want to leave.

If you do come down we can setup a day of flat and a day of surf. I'm sure if we setup a demo day we can put together a nice little freeride with a decent turnout. I'll whore out my Matrix for a chance to ride a bit of everything else. it would be nice to find someone with an EME willing to join in to round out the group, if you are serious about freestyle that will be aserious contender like Iceman mentioned.

It would be sweet if some of the main guys riding out of matanzas put together a demo day freeride,We use to have mini rides there back in the day with 50 or so guys and it was a blast.with a host hotel that close by that everyone stays at even the semi locals,it would be a great opportunity for guys like chrisman

Brian a Thrust is building a Q8, so maybe we could get him up for a weekend ride. Our local crew has some nice ski's for sure!!! What ever you do ride what your buying first to see if your going to like it. Big power also takes a lot of time to get use to!!
