so are they the same??

It will fit except i need to have a factory pipe that redirects the pipe to the front of the motor not to the back

So now i have two choices Coufmans or Stock.

'95 they went to a cast aluminum waterbox on the SXi when it came out. All previous ones were smc.

I have a feeling you were a victim of the switchover like I was. I had a SXi engine which had a larger crank thread but SX driveline so my couplers had different sized threads. When I switched to billet couplers, I had to get a crank side coupler for an SXi and a driveshaft side coupler for an SX.

Or, someone switched it out at some point with an older one, who knows why.

I thinks this is what i need to get right?

Superjett if i were to have a switchover from a sx to a sxi would that make any diferences with the SXI because i found that waterbox above and im not sure if thats what i would need if the waterboxs for SX and SXI are different.

That is the SXi waterbox that I had. The only real differences between the 95 SX and SXi were handlepole color, graphics, big pin twin carb engine, aluminum waterbox, stainless impeller. I can't think of any other differences.
