Took the ski out today and everything was fine and then......half power and boggy. Flicked the bilge on and water came pouring out. I headed to shore and swam it in. Popped the cover off and couldnt find anything wrong but water was all over the engine
, I attempted to start it and it started fine and then it squirted me in the face  . Looking at the head there is a small brass nipple on the top. It had a black rubber cover on it and I never thought anything of it ( bought the ski used) and it ran fine for 2 yaers now. Somehow it came off and was shooting water into my carb. I Macgyvered some primer line and metal wire and got it patched up, took the ski out and it ran sluggish for a second and then all was ok. I ran it for a good hour so hopefully any water that was in the ski is now gone.
How can I patch this nipple thing so it never squirts again? See pics
