Super Jet Water leaking from nipple on head- HELP

Took the ski out today and everything was fine and then......half power and boggy. Flicked the bilge on and water came pouring out. I headed to shore and swam it in. Popped the cover off and couldnt find anything wrong but water was all over the engine , I attempted to start it and it started fine and then it squirted me in the face :no: . Looking at the head there is a small brass nipple on the top. It had a black rubber cover on it and I never thought anything of it ( bought the ski used) and it ran fine for 2 yaers now. Somehow it came off and was shooting water into my carb. I Macgyvered some primer line and metal wire and got it patched up, took the ski out and it ran sluggish for a second and then all was ok. I ran it for a good hour so hopefully any water that was in the ski is now gone.

How can I patch this nipple thing so it never squirts again? See pics

That Nipple is for the stock exhaust, i plugged mine with jb weld.

can that be done without removing the head, im thinking the jb would run down the hole. Maybe hitemp silicone would do the trick.

Don't put your face near it and it wont squirt you. lol:silly: But really though I just took some primer line or what ever fit is and let it come out a bit and put a screw in the line and worked fine for me for a long time.

Thats exactly what i did, and havent had a problem since.

NO need for JB Weld. Just use a block-off hose (a rounded rubber nipple of the same size as the hose)

I rigged mine the same way you did...5 years ago. No problems...

thats what was on there, somehow it came off. I got a few new ones today, maybe ill zip tie it on.

Yep, that's the trick. Tie wrap it on and you'll have no troubles. I tie wrapped a piece of primer line to it, then folded it over and tie wrapped the fold in a pinch and it worked for as long as a ran the engine.
