Water Box

Is there a performance gain with an after market water box ? The mariner water box would fill with water which wouldnt let my ski run, the PJS I've got its loud as hell, my head is ringing . Should I just go back to stock or is there a water box out there that has a good sound and performance.

i love my mariner water box and have never had a problem with it . how is your one filling up with water

Some say there isn't, but I say theres a difference. When I went from the PJS box(Ear ringer) back to an un-modded stocker I could tell a big difference. Really choked the engine down. Just my opinion. I'll be drilling out the stock box before it goes back in. Hopefully it will still be somewhat quite, but flow much better.

Wnut my Mariner is hollow nothing in it thats why it was filling up and holding my engine back.

Mine was hollow also. Are you running a flow control valve on that stinger?

ive never checked my water box. i ust chucked it in and was real happy that the ski went better . it is load but not that bad , its alot better than my friends pjs water box x2

no I'm not running a flow control and thats been my hole problem with my X2 too much water in the stinger which ends up in the water box which was holding my ski back plain and simple wasted countless dollar and time all summer .

That sucks man. I ran the PJS/Mariner box, completely hollow, and loved it. Just didn't want to piss off everyone on my lake. I'd like to run it again if it weren't so damn loud. Maybe run one, and run it out about halfway down the ski almost in the water, and inject water into it close to the outlet to make it a little quieter.
