Want a RN but saw this really clean SN: Should i buy it?

Well, as usual I found myself browsing craigslist for another ski. Right now I have a 550. The guy is selling a clean (looking) 94 SN with trailer for 1100. The only thing is, he said he bought the hull by itself and then dropped in a (new) 650 motor. By the looks of it, its pretty clean. Now should I jump on this deal and go for a SN or should I not let the money burn a hole in my pocket and wait patiently for a RN? Pics will be up soon.

If it was a SN with a 701, I'd say jump all over it. A SN 650 will be nice compared to the 550 but a SN with a 650 will just cost you more in the long run since you'll inevitably want the 701.

Deals are out there to be had...just be patient. I picked up my 94 SN with a 701, aluminum pole, scoop grate, b pipe, and some other goodies for $1100 but the hull needed a little work. I got a great deal but I was also very patient and convinced myself I didn't "NEED" a SJ.

ive got a 91 with a 701 single carb basic mods motor all stock
$1700
hull needs to be repainted former owner painted it white and its got zits all over it
but runs great

i love my SN i would never trade it for RN, but maybe for a bob hull LOL. SN with 701 swap= awesome. RN is overrated, buy a sn and a carbon hull.

Yeah don't know if that would be worth it. Bought a super clean stock 701 SN with trailer for $1000. I would say wait it out for something better, or offer him like $700 for the 650.
