We used to build 'ramps' in frt of the pump tunnel to cause water to get re-directed into the top portion of the pump inlet. It was a noticeable gain on the Kawi hulls.
We never had a cool kit like what you have, we used bondo to build up the area and then sand, shape, and paint it. If you are doing that mod to your X2, you will be glad you did! You will see a noticeable improvement in the ride of the hull and hook up on those choppy days.

I'm playing the skeptic here, if they were that good then how come you don't see them around? Secrets don't remain secrets long. Try it out and let us know

Right now I am in the middle of body work on my x2 project and changing everything from last year. So I cant decide weather to just put it on right now so I dont have to do paint again or wait until I am done and try it with out then put it on to see the gains from it. But I am leaning towards doing it now while I am doing all this work so I only have to paint once.

There are many posts on PWCtoday about these things. I even made a chart of how it works.

All I can say is I wouldn't put one on my ski.

I had a friend who ran one on his 750 back in the early/mid-90's and loved it plus Topher Barretto raced with them on and ended up winning both a National and World Expert title.

I raced against Topher Barretto back in the day and believe me he didn't win because of having one of those things on his ski.

I think I am going to put it on my ski since I have the chance to try it. I don't ever beach my ski, I always put it on a buoy few feet out so I dont have any reason not to do it.

Does anyone know how this would affect freestyle on a lake?

Ah, come one, everyone knows in ski class it's 95% machine setup and 5% rider, right??!

freestyle x2?

Why not, thats how I got started ALOT of years ago. Life was alot easier when I had 3000.00 tied up in a pair of X2s and the trailer. Now I have 26000.00 tied up in 2 SJs and a trailer and had more fun when we rode X2s years ago.

freestyle x2?

Yeah, you can check out my build in my signature! Just about everything I have done so far is for low end and for freestyle (or at least I have attempted to make everything for freestyle and low end). I don't know if this matters at all but I am planning on blueprinting my pump and doing a big hub swirl cut back. Also would like to do a top loader under it too.
