I'm starting to lean toward doing away with the videos on my site.

Why?

1. people rarely send me videos anymore, they post them on youtube, putfile, their own sites, etc.

2. one less thing to worry about on my site

3. i don't like how I have the video section on my site setup right now anyway

Reasons to keep it:

1. I always wanted one central location that everyone can find videos on and succeeded for a while

Hrm.

Should I just upload them all to google and youtube and be done with it?

WOW ! Whatever works for you ! I went to your site with the old layout and when I first started learning tricks to see all the different teaching vids. Good stuff. If its easier and its your site. maybe have a list of all the vids you once had on there when/if you take them off just incase someone needs something ! Thanks for hosting them for all this time.. It has helped me in learning and good enter. factor too. :biggthumpup:

i would keep it as long as its not hurting anything (space bandwidth, etc)...plus, the last thing i would do is put anything on google, you tube, etc because their terms of use basically state that if you upload it and they want to use it for something else, you are giving them all rights to your (or other peoples) works...:banghead:

I don't like youtube. I do like your one & only reason for keeping them on your site - central location. If you really do want to get rid of them, is there anyway that this site could accomodate them?

I like the videos on your site alot. The central location for all of them is whats great about it. If you did take them off your site, I think someone would need to put them all back somewhere in a central location. I have room on my server for them but my download speeds are very slow. Youtube sucks because the vids cant be longer than 10 minutes, and google as mentioned takes all rights to the video, and also cant be centralized for everyone to find what they are looking for.

Well, it gets old me pm'ing/e-mailing to get permission to host videos. If everyone else can help, that would make it much easier for me.

Like, if you see a video, just make the suggestion to get it added to the collection on superjett.com That would help me out tons.

It would be a shame to remove them, but you have to do what you have to do.

I enjoy sitting on the back porch with my laptop and JD in hand, watching the videos. But hey, that's selfish on my part.:beerchug:

I voted to keep them but if you wanted to save some space you could shave it down a bit to only the best of the best so to speak.

Having videos of only 5 - 10 seconds with only 1 trick is good for maybe learning a specail trick but for myself doesn't interest me but I like watching vids with music and lots of different tricks.

I didn't even know about the vids on your site until now. Now I am watching a ton of them. I vote keep em as long as it's not too hard for you to.

Thanks for the vids. Where is that section with the "tutorials" someone was talking about? I just started riding a standup again about a month ago and I need some help working on my flatwater tricks.

I say keep them if you can. I always like showing every human who enters my basement/office as many vids as I can. I think everyone will understand if you just can't do it anymore though.

Since I only have my military computer now and I'm away from home for the next year I can't view videos from youtube, etc. So your site is one of the few i can watch them. I would hate to see them go.

maybe having a user log in for x to upload videos would make more people upload them?
