thats awesome. the pics with the bridges in the background are really cool. It gives you more of a perception of height and depth as well. props on making it to the papers.

The photographer took my buddy Mike's phone number (he is the owner of the Mason boat) to call whenever they need a sports/local story and we happen to be going riding.

Nice riding and pics! One pic looks like you are going to hit the bridge!

Was your rideplate a dcut stocker, I had the same thing happen to me. For extreme riding, I now find old school protec and other a/m plates and dcut them. More money but way stronger.

If you are new to double boat (v-wake), try having the boats closer together for a more vert backy style wave or farther apart for a more rampy (less vert) wave.

Yes, it was a D-cut stocker.

The boats were about 10-15ft apart. The wake happened about 10ft behind the boats.
(And yes, I am new to V-wakes. First time ever)

Looking pretty good for a first timer. :bigok:

If that was me, the audio from the helmetcam footage would be unrepeatable, LOL.

If those pics were in our local paper, we would be in jail next time out on the water. Our friendly marine police say that is reckless endangerment. When we get lucky enough to have a double up everyone is on high alert for the water patrol.

No Kidding. If Pat was around, he just had pre-written tickets just waiting on you.

The cops are pretty good around here.
In over five years of fooling around, only once has one of them said something to the effect of: "We're cool with it, but be aware that it could be considered illegal".

Still, we were on high lookout for cop boats.
The photographer told us he'd choose the caption carefully so as not to get us in trouble. He was fully aware that we weren't being legal, but he was stoked about the pics he took.

We use to have a city police (Marine Division) that was pretty cool. He would come up to us and shoot the crap (Tricky has been there when he came up), he even said, go off in a cove where your not disturbing anybody and I dont care. He was there for about 2 summers then transfered. Now we are back to AHoles.

NAILED IT! :bigok:

We went out again today and lucked out big time. Two loaded wakeboard boats took off from the launch and we followed them for a while. They were going close to each other but fast. Then they slowed down and motioned for us to hit it.
So I went for it and nosed in more flips. The people on the boats loved it.

Then we found out that they didn't have their ballast tanks loaded. They wanted to see more of us, so they filled up the tanks and got some wake instruction to make it better.
And holy cow, did they make it better!
They had the boats at perfect speed and less than 10 ft apart. The V-wake was one massive, vertical wall of water.
The very first flip I tried off that I landed nearly flat.
The second one I over-rotated a bit and landed on the tail. They definitely felt like they were higher up in the air, too.

SWEET! No trim on my boat.

The people on the boat were video-taping. I am working on getting the video.
