it in at 6 or 9 o'clock. Felt good in front of the 40 other guys standing around as i pulled the head and the OOOOOOOO's came out.

Shouldn't the C-clip spin in its groove? What would cause it to pop out at any position?

no it shouldnt be loose enough. in the 3 or 9 position it can compress due to g-forces by high rpm. in 6 or 12 position it cant compress as much or move around. So over time when sideways it will slowly walk out of the slot/hole and make its way to the sleeve. then kaboom.

sadly mine happened after probably 100+ hrs on the rebuild last season, so it was pretty fresh and all seemed very good with even compression. Novice mistake ill never do again, thats for sure!

holey poop. my mind is blown. I love learning poop like this. I always new to put the open end as far away from the pick out grove but I never knew why. haha awesome
