What do you guys think. Hydro Turf is selling their turf with optional PSA now(pressure sensitive adhesive)
Kawi has been using it for years and my turf was on way too much with three coats of Weldwood. I don't want my turf falling off. Here is a link to what I have to try. Think it will hold up?

If its the same as the peel and stick they put on the 25mm under pad it's pretty strong. my pad is the only thing that hasn't peeled in 3+ years.

On a brand new or perfectly prepped surface I say go for it, but otherwise I say stick with the Weldwood.

I plan on to trying it on the tray underpad for my new build, not sure about turf to underpad adhesion though.

Same concept, I'm not sure if it's the same exactly. I don't know what Hydro turf is using but we use this product fo a similar application. I'm definitely using it on my tray under pad. It makes removal easy and even if it doesn't hold perfectly for 5 yrs, its simple to fix. My SXR had it on and only lost adhesion around the seams about 1/2". I didn't know it till I pulled it off and found sand there.

When l turfed my fx1 l used the PSA from Hydroturf and was quite leary of it.l work with alot of adhesives. So l did some research and found a "adhesive promoter" to ensure a lasting job.The promoter is from U-POL and is Grip #4.Been on my ski for 3 years and have not had one edge come up.That includes the rails too! You can find this thru a body shop from one of thier venders. But one word of caution, when you stick it "thats where it will be from now on! One thing l found that helps is wax paper between the surface and the turf, use that to position and center. But try a small piece first to make sure it works.PM me if you have any questions.

Cool, I see from the MSDS that its basically Tolulene, and we use that here for the same purpose, adhesion promoter. Great feed back so far, keep it coming. I can see definite uses on the underpadding, but what about the sides & foot holds. I may even do the dash with it.

You wouldn't have a problem on the side rails. The footholds would diff concern me cause of the pressure of your feet rubbing on them.

I was thinking that the side rail areas would get peeled off from the waves, kinda like the two sided taped Kawi rubber rails. I def agree about the foot hold areas. So it sounds like the tray area and possibly dash. Maybe or maybe not the tray HT, just the foam underpadding.

When do you plan on doing it? I'm looking to order turfing supplies soon and would like to know which way to go; with the underpad anyways.
