The upholstrey in the cieling of my truck is falling down pretty bad, just wanted to have some opinions because i was considering turfing it instead of new material.

are you talking about turfing right up against the metal? if so, it wouldnt insulate very well unless maybe you added some padding between the metal and turf. good idea though........ but pounding the turf with a mallet might give some unpleasant results on your roof.

Great idea, but you will no doubt get a more biased response here than in the Autzen Stadium replay booth (stupid-ass diamondplate uniforms and all...i hate the ducks)

Other poll ideas...

Should I turf my kitchen table?
Should I turf my stapler?
Should I turf my steering wheel?
Should I turf the family dog?

ok I'll stop now.

Show us pics of that headliner if you go ahead with this.

that would be pretty sweet. not to mention the sound deadening effects. come to think of it, turfing a jeep to replace the carpet would be the shizz.

I only concern I would have is the intense heat. The top of a vehicle gets VERY hot sitting in the sun.
I had a pisser aimed (180deg water) at the turf on the bondrail it it peeled up only in that 1 inch spot.
I bet it would help to deaden interior sound some in the vehicle though.

Stay tuned...I will be strategically applying turf to my Polaris Ranger in the near future...:sneaky:

Those rangers are awesome. I work at a Polaris dealer and they have a couple, we rip em all the time. The new 700efi rangers that are out are bad azz, its hard to creep with it the pedal is soo touchy
