so over winter did couple of mods...

MSD Enhancer
Lightened Flywheel
Hooker Prop
JetWorks Flow Control Valve
re jetting as per factory pipe

Prior to adding these mods I ran stock with B pipe only and had some pretty good bottom end.. so by adding the mods above thought I'd have even more bottom end.. however seems as though I have alot of everything.. bottom, middle and top...

I have played around with the tuning screws on the pipe, but dont seem to feel much difference... does anyone have any ideas? perhaps carb adjustment..?

What are good settings for factory pipe screws?

its a 95 single carb 701.

cheers

it does rip all through the r's lol but was told it would be mostly bottom end.. that these mods would really pull ski outta the water... I am after some low end response, to get her up... maybe I was expecting too much... ?

I'm running a dual carb '04. But the pipe setting for bottom end seems to be:
Top and middle closed.
Bottom open approx 3/4 turn.

Did you re-jet the carb when you put in the pipe, or just recently? I questioned the recommended jets (per Factory pipe) and went with what Wamiltons said to use.

I said,"but factory says to use this.." Wamilton told me that If I called Factory pipe, then they would tell me to call Wamiltons.

Anyway, I put in what Wamilton said and it rocked.
Again, my ski is dual carb.

(I put in everything you listed except the lightened flywheel)

hmm cool might rock an email to wamiltons....

when I put pipe on I left stock jets, I've only just re jetted as per factory pipe.

You need to put the jets in that FPP recommends. There's a bunch of performance to be had for less than $10.

Refoam that hull and I bet it comes to life.

It should hit hard on the bottom with that set up IMO...

I never touched the screws on my pipe as both of them shipped with what everyone here recommends.

And dual cooling requires another input in the manifold and then another outbound out the head.

Jetting as per factory pipe is only a starting point for your engine. I would purchase a tach. from Watcon if you don't already have one and properly tune the motor.
