More Matrix Pics
Here are some more pics of the Matrix. I am waiting on a stitched mat for the tray area - the rest is complete. Everything literally bolts right in as if it were stock.
The fit, finish, and overall quality of this ski is unmatched. Seriously, the thing is a work of art. On top of that, it is so solid words can't do it justice. At one point I called Bobby because I was unsure of what bolt length to use on the intake grate - my concern was that I may damage an insert with a bolt that was too long; there is so much reinforcement there that it requires a bolt longer than stock - he explained that the bolt would fail before I popped the top off an insert! He actually torques each insert in the hull before they are sent out.
I am running a super stock 701 for now. I was going to run a newly built 927 66e that I have but decided to go with the lighter 701 in the surf. I may run the 66e in the lake over the summer or go with a bigger 62t at a later date. The 701 should really allow me to get a feel for the handling of the hull in the surf. As it sits the dry weight is 290 lbs. Not bad considering that it is an XF NOT a Pro version and how beefed up the boat is everywhere.
Finally, I'd like to thank Bobby from Trinity for all of his patience, professionalism, and help. Everything was delivered as promised, and the high quality of the boat makes me feel like I got my money's worth.
