Trinity Epic Pro hit the water for the first time today

first water test was done today. we figured we would back the trailer in and adjust idle. ride her of the trailer make sure steering setup was correct, load her up an take her home. oh boy were we wrong. bobby sir, i have never ridden one of your hulls before. i have seen the sexy skies you build, i have touched them and :):):):) have i heard the hype that comes with them. and today i would like to thank you for building me 1 BAD AZZ MOFO brother. please excuse me while i speak my mind.holy mother:):):):)in :):):):) bro. this boat rips. the oem hull cornered much better than the sxr and this one takes it to a whole new level. i don't know what else to say except thanx bro. it was worth the time and effort it took. it is such a fun boat to ride, rip and beat around. break out the old wetsuit bobber. she's waiting for you

A few questions.
Do you know what the boat weighs in @ assembled and ready to ride?
Were there any hard to find parts you had to get, besides the metal parts that bobby provides?
Is yours a yamaha motor or kawi? What pump?

Awesome to hear one has hit the water, we NEED some pics your next ride!

hey shawn, have not weighed it and i don't have a scale. quite frankly, as a rec rider, those figures don't really intrest me. but with that said there is no doubt in my mind it is sitting between 260 and 280. don't quote me, this is a guesstimated figure based on other am hulls i have. it is super light when riding.
as for your question regarding the hard to find parts, yes it was hard. we exhausted every option at our disposal to get oem parts, but in japan nobody speaks english and in australia they were only able to get limited parts. so we stripped the oem and had a cnc shop make all the required parts. that was much easier, just a little more expensive (first run needed enginering and cad design). as for the actual frankenstein oem parts that were used from other projects, such as the seat, electric box bracket, tank and waterbox they were all readily available. in the case of the steering the main hub was machined, the steering neck came of an 1100 zxi,and contrary to popular belief its not identical to the stock x2 neck, it is about an inch higher and a slight tad more slanted. worked out for the better. there is another componant that we had to cut and reweld, the main steering stem. (i'd rater not get into that with bobby's blessing as this was our stickler)
and finaly, i am running a stock sxr 800 + 1, factory pipe, lightweight charging flywheel, stock pump, 5mm setback prop and bored nozzel. completely threw me of guard when i got on, i was used to riding that engine in a stock sxr hull. the power gains in the stocker plus parts is phenominal. i have never thrown a nose stab so high in my life.:439::439::439:

once i get more time here in a few days i'll hit the lake with my son and a camera and he'll throw down some rolls on that bitch for you guys. there will be a a surf test in the near future, but this boat will predominantly be a fresh water boat
