Hmmmm...good idea. My coil has been around a while, probably time for a new one.
So just get some really long heat shrink, take the plug ends off and slip on and warm up?
tkmww has been using a coil which had it's secondary wires replaced with 8.5mm MSD, they don't seem to have chafed anywhere. I think he mentioned to me that he had tried another one - not sure though. That heatshrink idea sounds great!If you use a new OEM Yamaha coil it is already double insulated but the ends are cable tied, its best to remove the cable ties and use shrink tube over the ends. If you get water in between you are always going to get issues in salt water.
