I'll be putting it together over the next few weeks. It'll probably be a few months before I get a chance to run it in salt, though.
The plan is to ride salt exclusively in the near future :sneaky:

LOL, even this past season I ran just as many salt hours as fresh, even though I live 300 miles from the coast.
Flat just doesn't cut it.

yea I agree, the key is gettin it to work once, much less twice. where are most Tl grounded too if not the starter,I was thinking of running the main ground to the starter and a smaller 8 gauge safty ground to someplace higher on the motor

Look at all the people that have t/l and get to Daytona and then have issues. IMO the idea is to get it right in s/w and then you will never have trouble.

Agreed... last year I ran all season with my total loss system hooked up completely half assed. I spliced every connection by twisting wires and covering with electrical tape. :dunce: Needless to say, when I got to Daytona, I spent 5 minutes in the surf the first day and about 6-7 hours on the beach with my head in the ski getting shocked and trying to figure where the problems were. I did things quite a bit different this time and I'm hoping for better luck this year.

Yup, that was me, too!

Ran it half-assed all season in the Columbia River, get to the Blowsion Beach Party in Oregon surf, rode a half hour, then spent the rest of the weekend with my head buried in the ski. :haha:

I dont run TL, but keep my grounds visible at all times...

most of the time the bolt hole right above the exhaust manifold at the front of the cylinder if very convenient..

on my X motor, I have it grounded to the intake manifold (sorry chuck :27: and booted so it gets checked frequently....

cant wait to hear matt's review on the ATP system, love the fact it fits in the stock Ebox.....I wonder how many units they have out there in the UK???

Im sure the atp is good stuff, but being able to put it in the stock ebox doesnt seem like that big a advantage, especially with the luck the oem boxes have at keeping out water in a sunk ski,I think the connections, grounds are the bigger concerns, this is a downfall on oem stuff as well.thats assuming the msd coil wont be used and kawi stockers replace them. Maybe a clear otter box would be nice for the msd or this rrp Tc mentioned. Post some pics of it.
