My apologies Nick/everyone, I had forgotten all about this until Goddess called me today. Originally (Jan 08) they required a contract, and standard rates were at $179.00 pre-tax. I was able to do away with the contract, and obtain a rate of $129.00 pre-tax (city/bed tax is 12.5%). That’s two people in a room, @ $72.50, four people @ $36.28. I imagine they might have roll-away beds upon request, but I thought I would leave that up to individuals. This rate is available from 1/12/08-1/25/08, in order to attempt to encompass all travel plans. Realizing what it was earlier in the year, understandably it’s a phenomenal deal, all things considered, and can make your visit to the Sunshine State a bit more comfortable.
Without a contract, anyone can simply now call the 800 number and state the name of the event, plus this eliminates any responsibility or headaches for Nick. If anyone already booked a room, just call back and explain the information was not confirmed until after you booked (any problems, just shoot Nick a pm, and he can get with me if necessary). Simply don’t call until Thursday, because corporate will not have the information to the reps @ the 800 number until then. 1/800-874-7420. Parking for trailers is easily accommodated in their back parking deck, which is walled off from the beach access, providing security (supposedly there are patrols as well).
The resort has a history of being one of the oldest Florida hotels still in operation. That said, although newly renovated, it is not your standard 4/5 star luxury resort, yet this gives it much character, imo. The clientele would be quite different from the other hotels on the strip, yet it does not have an all-inclusive feel to it at all. I think your ladies might find many aspects appealing, and it would definitely keep them happy enough probably. I have stayed multiple times myself now, so I will vouch for it at least as far as all of that goes. http://www.plazaresortandspa.com/hotel/history.php
