Timing

Ive been researching this with others lately,yes it is worth it on stock cdi,maybe enhancer as well.Talking with some racers back in the day they were running 3 to 5 deg advanced on limited setups and getting alot better low end and holding up well in top end.Those guys spend alot more time ripping up top than we do.
 
Scott,you talkin 4 deg advance on the plate? the little bumps on either side of the 0 mark are 5 deg right? I run about 2 deg also,but with the info im getting im thinking on runnin 4 also with msd ign and 93 oct

ive been running 4 with a msd ign for awhile now and haven't had any problems yet. i do always use 93 octane. its a pretty noticeable gain right off the bottom.
 
I started running 5 deg advance on the stator with a enhancer and with 35 cc domes and 93 oct a while back and all is fine so far,no det and she rips hard down low.once in a while ill mix in some 110 if im going to run it in flats
