I was going to reinforce my fx1 build n e way... but as i was cleaning the motor compartment out, I could notice "spots" where the hull was thinner and the light was more visable (no holes just the brightness levels). Will reinforcing on the inside be enough or do i need to add a layer to the bottom side where its thinner?

i just did the sides on mine...1 layer of 17oz biax and 1 layer carbon kevlar
adding a layer to the bottom definatly wont hurt...and might as well just do it all at once!

Once the purple wore through on mine, you could make out shadows when light shines down from the top. These hulls are very tough! I like the glass bottom effect. I plan on running mine this way, If I have trouble, the bottom is glass, & very repairable.

Yeah, it may not be as thin as you think. Once the paint wears off its easy to see light through the glass. On my fx there are some light scratches (just enough to take of the paint) that i can see through easily. Reinforcing isnt a terrible idea though
