What's interesting is to most riders that were never on 440/550 skis, that type of turning is just unfathomable, but that's kind of what you did back then to make them turn. There was no "lean it over a little, a little more, a little more" like you can with a good handling SJ/SXR, you just had to drop it on it's side. It was straight or turn, no in between.
