Well after killing one boat 5 minutes into the Smith lake ride last yer and knocking a hole in the X2 by the end of the first day I decided I might better have a back up ski again this year.

So I put the X2 back together, this time with a stock 650 engine but with a twist, since I have it set up for a 720 rotax I wanted to leave it that way ,so I am running the PJS seadoo pipe setup and the 46 Mikuni I had on the 720 last year.

I am not sure there is a good pic of the exhaust manifold in there but its a Rossier manifold,it has the 650-750 bolt pattern where it mounts to the engine and the Seadoo pipe pattern where the pipe bolts up at.

The cooling system is hooked up Seadoo style, inlet from the pump goes in at the exhaust pipe ,through the exhaust manifold,up through the cylinder and dumps out of what would be the stock flush fitting at the top of the head.

I used a stock elect box and modified a stock bracket from the TS that this engine was pulled from,I had to glue in a mount for the bracket and drill two holes under the hood seal also.I am also running a Seadoo water regulator valve on the PJS pipe.

I had to make a throttle cable yesterday, yes I mean that literally, its just temporary till I can get one in next week sometime, didn't want to wait till the last minute to dial this thing in.

I dropped it in the water yesterday and it had a huge bog in the midrange,I popped the carb apart this morning and checked the popoff, its around 25 psi which explains a lot.So after installing a black 80 gram spring and rechecking the popoff I am off to do some more carb tuning this afternoon.
