These damn stitches

Do you have any feeling on the left side of your knee. Mine is still numb after 5 years.
I have complete feeling. Took about 1 year to be back to normal (with feeling). You are talking about feeling on the skin right? If after 5 years you still don't have feeling around that area, then the nerves may never re-attach. My surgery was 13 years ago and other then a nasty scar, I never notice it. I was lucky because the patella snapped in 2 and didn't hurt any tendons. But I did make them pull out the screws after a year because I was able to predict the weather.

Old, but still ridin'!!!
the interior of that bug is in my bug now at my house.

Hippy!!!

Supposedly, they are supposed to. That's what the doc said. That's kind of what I meant about "encouraging them".

Dude, it's sooooo healed, no way is it ripping open on it's own. The only parts not all healed is where the damn punctures from the stitches are....and that might have something to do with the fact that there are these thread like things sticking out of them.

Just pull them MFers out. Easiest way to cut them is to get those little curved fingernail/cuticle scissors, they're small and really pointy on the end which makes it super easy to snip the stitch.

If it opens up any, just put some super glue on it and throw a band-aid over it after the glue dries.

I always pull my own out, screw the extra co-pay/Dr. visit.

have you bought yourself any gear yet?

get some evs knee braces and GOOD boots at least like alpinestars tech 8's or tech 10's. i have both 8's and 10's and i really like both, it'd be hard to recommend one over the other. the 10 is a much safer design, but it's a very rigid boot. the 8 is a little more flexible, but doesnt protect as much.

it must be nice to be rich!

Nope....no gear yet. I was just riding around the cul-de-sac REAAAALY slow.

I have to try to figure out how to afford some gear after I just spent all my money on a bike. Ha. Although, I stopped by a bike shop yesterday. After looking at the nearly $7K pricetag on CRF's......I feel much better about spending $1500.

No, I probably should be riding with them.

Saki, you have to understand, I don't know what I'm doing. I probably should find some training wheels.

I'm sure we'll do some track riding because there are a couple so close.....but I'm looking forward to getting out to Ocatillo for some all terrain freeridng. I live about 1-2.5 hours from some of the most well known off road and MX spots in the world.
