The Waternut Stunt hull build

Still present. I can't figure it out. It does it out of water too and usually at very low rpms. I turned the idle up a tad and it creeps up less frequently. I may give it another quarter turn. I did have the ski completely shut off on me today but it fired right back up... It did that last year at the beginning of a ride because the ignition switch was going out so I'll check into that.

Sounds like your muffler bearings are going bad.

Well the ski rode great today. I'm getting a lot more air off boat wakes than I did on the SN.

On the downside... I won't be riding again for another 2-3 weeks. I slipped and took about a 4" chunk out of my shin with about an inch exposing the bone. 2.5 hours in the ER and 9 stitches later, here I am. Got a pretty good feeling it was these nuts on top of the steering nozzle that caused all of this but I'm not positive on that. What is that thing that the nuts/bolts hold on? Either way, maybe other riders with short hulls and nozzle that stick out the back will heed warning to this experience.

THat is your visibility sprayer. It's broken anyways. I always take them off my skis. Wasted weight and pump nozzle volume.

I saw you guys riding when I got home from Jake's bd party. I was jealous. Now not so much. I could have sewn you up. Call me next time. You would still need some antibiotics though.

Actually I joined it 3 times with the 750 but not once with the SJ. So basically I've done this 4 times on two hulls and every time it happened, I was wearing the shorty wetsuit. Really wishing I had been wearing the full wetsuit today though. Probably would've trashed it but I'd be in better shape.

I'll have to look into options on getting these footholds to hold me better.

Typically if I'm barefooted, I can feel my feet starting to lose traction before that last jump where I loss all traction and hurt myself but when it's cold I need shoes and/or neoprene socks. Gotta say I'm seriously considering shin guards but last time I looked at them, I didn't think they'd actually stay in place unless I was wearing a full wetsuit.

No I understand completely. My problem has always been that I can't lock myself in place. After a couple jumps or a good combo jump, my feet get more and more out of the holds. Then if you get a bit out of place or the wave throws you a little sideways, it's over. The best results I've ever had were the kitboarding straps on my flatdeck. I could really lock my feet in those things and tuck my toes underneath.

I never step foot on my ski without knee/shin pads under a full legged suit. Even in the peak season, 90 degrees out I wear my long suit with out the jacket. Shin pads are a must!

Yeah I'm considering some dirt biking pants over some shin/knee guards.

Well pabloescobar was nice enough to come over and pull the ski out of the water for me since I can't get in. This way I can work on the ski a bit while I'm healing. While I was pulling the ski into the garage to be worked on I discovered that the steering nozzle didn't tear my leg up. It was the back of the hull. I found a small slit in the back of the turf with some of my skin and hair still in....mmmmmm So apparently, I hit with enough force to break through the foam and the turf and skin my shin on the back of the tray. Guess I should've rounded that back edge more but I figured 1" foam and turf would be sufficient.

Things that I know need to be done...
Install the trim
Fix the fuel tank mounts (they popped off)
Install the TL Shifty switch
Modify the steering plate for a quick steer
