well this is probably the lamest build thread going right now, but im hoping you guys will keep me motivated.
i havent had a fully operational ski since 2009. lot of life changes and some injuries have kept me from being
on the water, but summer is here and i cant take it anymore. so i just decided to use the parts i have laying around
and build something i can ride and have fun on. im rebuilding my old sn for i think the 3rd or maybe 4th time now, its like
a bad ex gf that just wont go away so i decided to just embrace it.

hull is already in good enough shape, but i had to make more room to mount my x-jet pole bracket. this thing is huge!
i got it all trimmed out last night and some foam poured, hope to shape it this afternoon and maybe lay the glass down this weekend
if i can find the time.

as for the powerplant your all going to be jealous haha bone stock 650 out of a 91 wr3. i picked this up last spring for almost nothing
and thought it would be a good girl friend boat till last weekend the drive line stripped and i dont feel like fixing that thing at all so engine
and what ever else i can use is coming out.

30 mins to an hour a night and she'll be good to go.
dig the square love, even if it's only out of convenience.

its not just convenience i love the sn and always will.
but my other hull needs tons of hours and a lot of money spent on it to make it
a good hull. i had always planned to put this one back on the water for the woman if
nothing else, but the x-jet is still in pieces and i just want to ride!

I always liked the flatdeck when I was riding it. I liked it even more because I could ride barefooted without tearing up my feet. It was just really inconvenient to remount it and I gave in and went back to normal.

it is a fun ski to ride, i always side mounted under power and never had trouble, it was a lot easier on the flatdeck. just pin the gas and pull legs up and it would spin right under me.

Got a few hours off from work this weekend and finished the nose and got the pole all mounted up and cables ran.
I need some pole bushings for this old xft pole the ones in it don't look like any others I've seen. Anyone know what will work or do I have to make some?

Stock RN pole please!!

ive been polled!

carb rebuild happening tonight.

and an fyi i am running a tdr resonator with water injected to it. its not annoying loud once on the water. when its dry its brutal though. about the same as a atp or powerfactor box when wet and only 85$ new and he will make the inlet and outlet any diameter you need.

Hows that exhaust set up work for you on a 650? Is it just a 650sx pipe with a/m manifold or are there other mods? I have one SN do to lack of funds will be useing a 650.

that TDR resonator is awesome!! only 85 bucks hmmmmmmm how loud is it when it drys out? cause i am about to spend 80 on a used rn waterbox and this seems like a better way to go.

For 80 on a rn box I'd buy that. It works and it's really light, but without water it's just a straight pipe and loud. I also have rear only exhaust. and that helps when on the water to.

Only part changed is the rear lower inlet was welded closed and the nipple added to the stinger.
I know this setup works, but my carb was in need of rebuilding and acting funny when I went Sunday so can't say anything about performance gain yet. I did use this engine completely stock before the pipe change. only other mod is a 61x cdi for the higher rev limit.
I should feel a noticeable difference
And get a better idea of the cheater pipe gain on a stock 650.
