but when you get it with the added water injection, if you are running duel cooling, can't you just run a line straight from the head to it? or would you split if off from the pisser line?


my original plan was to run a line straight from the pump to the resonator. i only have a single outlet on the pump right now so i just did this

theres an adjustable restrictor there on the tank. i barely have it open now and its pretty quiet so i think a dedicated line would just be overkill.

Did that pole work out ok for you Matt?

yeah the pole is in great shape. look back a page, i wondered if you would recognize it. i had plans to paint it black, but once i got it all stripped down the factory finish was mint so i left it alone for now. i ended up having to grind those new bushings down a lot to fit my bastard bracket. i thought it would be a direct fit. nothing ever is.

great, i just know there was a few issues we discussed with it, didnt know if you cut it down another inch and re riveted it. like i said when the pole was up and your riding, you couldnt tell. but when it sat in the trench of the hood it was kind of noticeable. Awesome, good luck with the rest of the build. i've had my hands full with this RN rocker project.

i have some room to move the bracket around so i just centered it with the hood and bolted it down. works for me haha
only thing i need to work around now is the way my steering is setup the cable crashes the stock pads hard. so i gotta grind one
down or just get one from toby so it clears. ive bent a cable like that before without noticing.
 
What did you do with the little line coming off the front of the head? I just looked thru my exhaust stuff and I got everything to make a cheater pipe, think Im going to do it for my 650.

look at the pic above, you can kind of see where i just kinked it and zip tied it closed. best way is to find a bolt to plug the hose cut it short and zip tie both ends. i was in a hurry.

this whole build minus the pole and exhaust mani was just stuff i had laying around. kind of a spare parts hack job of a build but its getting me back on the water at least.

So far I'm running factory jets from the 650. I'll let you know when I get the carb rebuilt and some more time on it.
It did run good for a little while and it seemed pretty close if nit perfect with a half turn out top and bottom. Can't say for sure yet.
